摘要
An extended glabellar fascial-cutaneous flap was successfully applied to form a lining for the nasopharynx after resection of the recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The flap has prevented the formation of crust, granulation tissue, and secondary infection of the underlying bare bone in the nasopharynx, which can mimic recurrence. The extended glabellar flap is the method of choice in providing a lining for the ablated nasopharynx if a transmaxillary approach is used in nasopharyngectomy for recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
