摘要
This paper find a solution on how to recycle carbon dioxide from the stripper section which is section 200 at Sasol Solvents SCU plant. The aim of Section 200 is to remove CO2 from the Syngas which contains hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and methane. Currently the carbon dioxide from VL203 is vented to the atmosphere. It is envisaged that an industrial scale Want prototype would be built to demonstrate operationally the reduction of emission of carbon dioxide and Hydrogen production to form methanol, acetone and toluene. The gas from VL203 is 100% carbon dioxide at Pressure of 35kPa on PIC2035 and temperature of 45 degrees C on TI 2037.This study will include carbon dioxide purification and adding hydrogen to produce methanol, acetone and toluene, the aim focus will be on the hydrogen production by using electrolyzers which includes the controlling of current and voltage using a Phase Shifted Full Bridge converter and compare it with other controllers like Rectiformer (Rectifier Transformer) that old companies still use.
