We respond to the further commentaries on the Stewart, Roberts, and Roy (2007) report. Motivations and methodology of the study are clarified. The critiques are addressed as themes to help advance the scientific process of objectively measuring aspects of clinical psychology training programs, including scholarly productivity. Together, the set of articles magnifies the need for diverse measures of qualities of clinical training.
