摘要
In the past a method has been proposed to determine the maximum depth of real corrosion patches by knowing the maximum of the reflection from the discontinuity and its circumferential extent. This method breaks down in presence of a general corroded area with a sharp change in depth in a small region around the circumference of the pipe. The aim of this paper is to adapt this methodology to deal with these problematic defects.
