XRD and TEM analysis on the Fe3Al/18-8 stainless steel diffusion bonded interface

摘要
Fc(3)Al intermetallic and 18-8 stainless steel were diffusion-bonded at 1040 degreesC for 60 min. The reacted phase in the Fe3Al/18-8 diffusion-bonded interface was determined via X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and the lattice orientation relation between constituent phases was analyzed by transmission electron microscope (TEM). The results indicated that there were Fe3Al, Ni-3 Al, FeAl, alpha-Fe (Al) solid solution and Fe3C in the interface. In addition, the lattice orientation relation between alpha-Fe (Al) and Fe3C was (002)(alpha-Fe) ((Al))//(130)Fe3C. But there were no other brittle phases and micro-defects such as pore and crack, which can ensure the microstructure performance in the Fe3Al/18-8 diffusion-bonded interface.
