Recently, the first nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments in pulsed high magnetic fields have been reported on low gyromagentic ratio, gamma, nuclei at moderate frequencies, below 400 MHz. Since the uncertainty in producing a particular resonance frequency grows with large-gamma nuclei in high pulsed fields, it was not clear whether it will be possible to observe the corresponding resonances. Here, the first H-1 NMR experiments at 1.3 GHz in pulsed high-field magnets are reported, showing that it is indeed possible to perform such experiments. (c) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
