Aspects of the lexicographic definition of idioms

This contribution deals with various aspects related to the lexicographic definition of locutions. In addition to studying the types of definition applied to this kind of fixed and idiomatic combinations, it tries to check if the locutions are defined in the same way as the simple lexemes. Also, it tries to find out if the dictionaries follow the same procedures when defining the same units, and what is the most predominant definition procedure. In order to achieve these objectives, a series of monolingual, general and phraseological dictionaries will be collated.
