摘要
Tannery effluent samples have been analyzed in order to discover their most significant pollutants and quantify them whenever posssible. The analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and Semivolatile Organic Compounds (SVOCs) have been carried out by Gas Chromatography using Mass Spectrometry detection. After the analysis of effluents from different processses, the results that have been obtained show the presence of certain amounts of different compounds. While some of them come from the water used in the factory that provided the samples, some others have their origin in the products used in the different processes and in the ones added to leather as a conservative.
