摘要：

Hypertension (HTN) is a cardiovascular disease with a high global prevalence, which represents the main antecedent in patients with coronary heart disease, for which its diagnosis and treatment should be general knowledge for the doctor both in the emergency and care This is why the present bibliographic review was carried out in order to summarize the latest findings in relation to the pathophysiology of HT, diagnosis and latest management guidelines.
