摘要
The paper describes a simple and efficient procedure for yield optimization of compact microwave components. It involves fast metamodels constructed over a constrained domain, spanned by the vectors corresponding to maximum variability of the circuit outputs. By maintaining a small domain volume while covering the essential parameter space directions, the surrogate can be constructed using a limited number of training samples with no need to relocate the domain and to iterate the model rendition. An example of a compact coupler demonstrates that our approach offers significant (up to 80-percent) savings as compared to benchmark surrogate-assisted methods while ensuring the reliability of the design process.
