Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Luminescence Properties of a Chiral Picolinate Europium(III) Complex

摘要
A chiral europium(III) complex based on 2-picolinic acid (Hpic), [Eu(pic)(3)](n) (1) was synthesized and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetry analysis. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1) and can be considered as constructed from 1D chains with right-handed helixes along [010] direction, in which the Eu(III) center is coordinated by three N and six O atoms from three pic(-) ligands in a distorted monocapped square antiprism. Luminescence properties of complex 1 were also studied. CCDC: 745994.
