摘要
The present work aims to valorise waste from the building materials industry, namely clay bricks waste from brickworks and marble waste. To reach this objective of valorisation of inert, nonhazardous waste from the building materials industry, it is imperative to develop recycling systems for this waste. It is, in this perspective, that we propose, here, to recycle clay brick waste as well as marble waste and to produce recycled brick aggregates (RBA) and marble waste. This is an experimental study where different concrete formulations were prepared from a reference formulation with natural aggregates. A partial substitution with rates of 20%, 40%, 60% up to a total substitution of 100% was performed. The concretes thus produced were characterised in order to evaluate their performance in comparison with that of the reference concrete. The results of this study showed that the best performance of the concrete was obtained at 20% and 40% substitution. These results were improved by the addition of marble waste (powder), with different rates (5%, 10% and 15%). The quality of the concretes thus produced was improved. Thus, these recycled aggregates can be used instead of natural aggregates in new constructions in accordance with the EN 206 standard, which regulates their use according to their characteristics and the exposure class of the structures built.
