School and University as Places for Mobilization: Opportunities for political participation and politicization processes in the 1960s

摘要
In the 1960s, the educational institutions school and university were significant places for the political protests of pupils and students. This paper will elaborate on how schools and universities had a mobilizing effect on these pupils and students. In a first step, socio-theoretical theories will be outlined, where schools and universities are described as politically relevant institutions and also as interactive rooms for experiences and actions. In a second step, on basis of a contextual and biographical analysis of one of the protests' main topics, the relevance of schools and universities for individual politicization processes will be described.
