摘要
The interaction parameters between dissolved substances (Xe, n-BuOH, and t-BuOH) and water-alcohol mixture components (methanol, ethanol, ethylene glycol, I-propanol, propylene glycol, and glycerol) were determined. Their variations over the series of solutions of Xe in aqueous monohydric alcohols and alcohols of different basicities, which have different hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties, and in moving from a hydrophobic solute (Xe) to a compound of a dual nature (butanol) are discussed. The enthalpy coefficient h(23) of pair interactions between Xe and alcohols in aqueous solutions was found to increase as follows: methanol ethylene glycol < glycerol, ethanol < 1-propanol, propylene glycol. The h(23) coefficient increased almost twofold when Xe was replaced with butanol in a water-ethylene glycol solvent and changed insignificantly when Xe was replaced with tert butanol in a water-ethanol solvent. The h(23) coefficient for the water-1-alkanol-Xe systems was partitioned into its hydrophobic and hydrophilic components.
