摘要
The cross-hole test is a common method used for determining shear wave velocities and, hence, to characterize the shear modulus. The determination of the shear wave velocities can be greatly improved by signal processing techniques. With further signal processing the damping ratios can also be determined. In this paper, the signal processing techniques to determine shear wave velocity and damping ratio is explained. The techniques are then applied to a actual cross-hole test, and also verified in a finite element analysis. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
