The Academic Career of the Letrados in the Spanish Baroque Era

This article proposes a global analysis of the academic career of letrados in the Spanish Baroque, from a double perspective: as the legal studies carried out at the University and as the progression of the Jurists in the chairs, before getting other legal positions in the Administration. According to this, the different types of letrados in the University are analyzed according to the University typology in that period and along the territorial diversity of the Hispanic Monarchy, and the articles concludes by showing the great differences between them.
