A Study on International Comparison of Financial Holding Company's External Corporate Governance Model-Concurrently Talk About the Construction of Chinese Financial Holding Company's External Corporate Governance Model

The financial liberalization has brought the opportunities as well as challenges to the global financial system under the background of the global economic liberalization. Financial Holding Companies (FHC) have unparalleled advantages of facing the challenges and adapting to internationalization compared with the mono-financial institutions. Therefore, international financial system will definitely present a trend of FHC and universal banking (UB). But financial crises have made us have to treat the surveillance of financial institutions and rethink the governance and reconstruction of FHC. Under the background of financial crisis and on the basis of the academic achievements, this paper will mainly focuses on the external corporate governance of FHC, the further research about the comparison of FHC's external corporate governance model and raise an idea about the strategies of constructing the Chinese FHC's external corporate governance model.
