摘要
This paper presents probabilistic reliability assessment (PRA) of Entergy transmission system. N-1 and N-2 contingency screening is performed over Entergy transmission system. Both outage probability and the severity of its impact, including overloads and/or low voltage violations are considered by PRA methods. A real case study for Entergy is introduced in this paper. 2018 and 2022 power flow cases are studied for PRA. Entergy transmission system reliability performance changes over time are evaluated. Contribution of transmission planning projects to bulk power system reliability improvement is analyzed based on PRA results. Critical contingencies and weak points of the system are investigated which gives a good guidance on transmission system planning.
