The role of information security in corporate governance

In today's market which are so dependent on computer systems and networks, it will be impossible for the nominated senior executive to feel safe without assurances that the information, networks, and systems in the firm are adequately protected. Information security managers should then be able to keep themselves updated with the latest technologies, identify the way these technologies may be used in their organizations, and make their directors and senior executives aware of the impact of proposed security management changes that the implementation of new technologies will bring.
