Study of PM alloyed steels with Ni-Cu prealloyed powders

摘要
Powder metallurgy (P/M) steels alloyed with graphite and two Ni prealloyed powders have been examined to be compared with steels alloyed with elemental nickel-copper powders. The study included dimensional changes, density, elongation, hardness and tensile properties measurements. The final results show that steels alloyed with prealloyed powders possess similar mechanical properties compared with steels alloyed with elemental powders. It has also been studied the properties of steels alloyed with 'German silver' powders (Cu-Ni-Zn). (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
