Here we discuss the role of heterogeneous Fenton oxidation and persulfate oxidation for the treatment of hazardous landfill leachate that readers should consider in addition to the advanced oxidation processes described by Gautam et al. (2019). (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
