摘要
In this paper, a new algorithm for fault localization and distance computation is presented. This algorithm is able to calculate the fault distance even when the fault has a high impedance. Due to the incertitude of distribution systems, faults cannot be easily localized as it is done at transmission level. One of the main differences in distribution system is the really branched network and the irregularities in the current flow that changes with the load. This method uses the bases of the fault impedance loop computation, but with both real and imaginary part of the equation. After the presentation of the context and the description of the method, the used case will be described and the results will show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Conclusions draw the field of the future work to improve these solutions on generalized distribution networks.
