On the dependence of the electron band maximum on the solvent reorganization energy

摘要：
The maxima of absorption and/or emission electron bands of a solute are often utilized to monitor the solvent reorganization free energy. The expression usually used for the band maximum is strictly true under conditions that rarely can be met in actual practice. A more precise estimate of the maximum of a structureless electron band has been obtained in the present work. Various schemes for determining the solvent reorganization energy from electron spectrum data are considered.
