Study on optimum objective of topology control in ad hoc networks

In this paper we study the relationship between the topology structure and the throughput in the ad hoc wireless networks. Firstly, the question is abstracted to two comparable schemes. Secondly, the throughputs of network in both schemes are calculated under the circumstance of interference. Finally, a conclusion is gotten that one node needs only transmits nearest neighbor nodes, and this is consistent with needs of the low power consumption and low probability of intercept to the ad hoc networks. So the conclusion can be used as objective of topology control.
