摘要
Magnetic Shape Memory (MSM) alloys present a novel means of transforming electric energy into mechanical work via the intermediate generation of magnetic field from electric current. They thereby follow a similar path of energy conversion as classical electromagnets. In this paper we will compare known designs of MSM actuators and electromagnets and discuss their characteristics based on properties of available MSM materials.
