摘要：

A brief description is given of the development of an international initiative for collecting annual returns of workplace-monitoring data from the international asbestos industry. The data from the 1995 survey are summarized and reflect achievement in monitoring control of asbestos over a period of ten years. The data reported were collected from those businesses associated with the Asbestos International Association (AIA). The AIA initiative is related to the historical evolution of controlling workplace dusts.
