Bed thickness and particle size distribution in three-body abrasion (vol 188, pg 102, 1995)

The correct values for the theoretical bed thickness in three body abrasion are published and supplemented with the values on the basis of a lognormal size distribution. The values for the bed thickness based on a normal particle size distribution are slightly changed. The conclusion that the theoretical bed thickness compares well with the experimental bed thickness has not changed. It was noted that this similarity was probably fortuitous since the particle size distribution of abrasive powders is usually more lognormal then normal.
