摘要
Plants of heavy metal soils and salt marshes can be colonized by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). Specific AMF ecotypes occur at both habitats. These are currently characterized by:modern molecular techniques. Studies which demonstrate that such fungi can confer heavy metal or salt tolerance to plants are currently at the beginning. AMF could have enormous potentialities in phytoremediation projects.
