摘要：

Anastomotic stricture is a quality of life threatening complication after radical prostatectomy. The diagnosis is usually set because of voiding dysfunction during the first year after the prostatectomy. Various endogenous (related to the patient) and exogenous (related to the procedure) risk factors have been reported. Some of them can be prevented. Cold-knife urethrotomy is the first line treatment. Patients should be informed that recurrence is common and they may need more than one procedure to achieve a satisfying result.
