'Uncertainty in Digital Humanities' track Lectures and Interaction for mutual learnings

The track "Uncertainty in Digital Humanities" of the Seventh International Conference on Technological Ecosystems for Enhancing Multiculturality, continues the endeavor, started in 2018, to reflect on the challenges and issues that uncertainty poses with special focus on Digital Humanities (DH). The main goal of this track is to trigger the discussion around the manifestation and challenges regarding uncertainty. In particular, the track is interested in the following: 1) recognizing the nature and effect of uncertainty in the different (computational and humanistic) processes that take part in any DH project; 2) and proposing novel approaches, techniques, models, etc. that can help to mitigate the complexity that uncertainty brings. This year the track will be two-folded. On the one hand, three papers will be presented during the regular session. On the other hand, an interactive and meta-disciplinary workshop, open to any participant of the Conference, will be organized to foster a participatory approach towards a better understanding of the nuances and opportunities of uncertainty in DH. The workshop aims to apply Open Innovation methods and practices to transfer learnings and methods of various non-DH disciplines to DH (and vice versa) under the focus of uncertainty and co-deign a taxonomy of uncertainty.
