摘要：

One of representative applications of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is a data collecting system that monitors and gathers physical phenomena in an area of interest. To build an end-to-end data collecting system, how to efficiently integrate WSNs with the Internet should be investigated. In this paper, we first propose a gateway-based Inter-working solution between Internet and WSNs based on Zigbee technology. Then, we introduce the hardware and software designation of the gateway in detail. Compared with traditional inter-working solutions, the solution meets the design requirements (such as power consumption, performance-price ratio, etc.) more efficiently.
