Al/AlN layered composites by direct nitridation of aluminum

摘要
The direct nitridation of aluminum foil was studied using an external magnesium getter and the synthesis of layered Al/AlN composites. The EDS spectrum showed the presence of magnesium in the nitride and a distinct peak was found in the magnesium concentration at the interface between nitride and the precursor foil layer. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the outside surface of an assembly of 16 foils processed at 610° C for 120 min was shown.
