摘要
The function of multiphase twin screw pumps is examined by theoretical and experimental work. A mixture of air, water and oil is transported continuously through a pipe system. Boundary conditions at the suction and discharge side of the pump are defined by the multiphase flow pattern in the pipeline system. The flow rate at the suction side of the pump as a function of the differential pressure is calculated and compared to experimental data. Gamma ray densitometry is used to measure the phase fraction at inlet as a function of time. Within the pipe system the operation of two multiphase pumps in single, serial or parallel mode is investigated.
