Examination of the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Aphidoidea Collection confirmed the presence of two species of Lachninae previously described by H. E Wilson. The types of one species were thought to have been lost but have been rediscovered. Lectotypes and paralectotypes are designated for Eulachnus thunbergii Wilson and Lachniella thunbergii Wilson. Cinara thunbergii (Wilson) represents a new combination for Lachniella thunbergii Wilson.
