Effect of configuration entropy on dielectric relaxor, ferroelectric properties of high-entropy (NaBiBa)x(SrCa)(1-3x)/2TiO3 ceramics

摘要
The unique structure and performance of high-entropy ceramics raised a novel perspective for modern material research. The high-entropy (NaBiBa)(x)(SrCa)((1-3x)/2)TiO3 (x = 0.18 similar to 0.22) ceramics were successfully fabricated by a conventional solid state reaction method and the configuration entropy was adjusted. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that all ceramics exhibit a cubic-like perovskite structure. Moreover, the grain size of the ceramics from 1 mu m to 4 mu m with x decreasing, and the relative density of the ceramics all above 90%. All dispersion coefficient values were greater than 1.72, indicating the superior relaxor behavior. High maximum polarization of P-m similar to 16.59 mu C/cm(2) and low residual polarization of P-r similar to 1.44 mu C/cm(2) at x = 0.21 under applied field of 100 kV/cm. The study demonstrated the excellent potential of configuration entropy on relaxor ferroelectric exploitation.
