An architecture for multimedia over ATM real-time environments

摘要
The binding architecture of multimedia networks is a versatile structure which permits an easily development over heterogeneous environments. There is evidence suggesting that the quality of many video conferences is mediocre because of unexpected cell loss rates. In this paper, specific features of Real Time Operating Systems are used to improve the efficiency of the data transmission in a multimedia binding architecture by an adaptive control over the Quality of Service parameters of the source.
