摘要
A rocky, intractable and highly heterogeneous, intertidal zone, required the application of a non-invasive sampling and clean-up strategy, for a diesel fuel spill in an Australian tropical marine environment. The slow rate of natural attenuation, combined with continuing re-contamination from an inaccessible source, is compared with successful, low cost, non-invasive, in-situ treatments, using biostimulation with biodegradable surfactant and soluble, and slow release nutrients.
