Advanced double coated metal particle tapes studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy and magnetic measurements

摘要
Samples from a new generation of metal particle tapes have been analysed by Mossbauer spectroscopy and magnetic measurements. The Mossbauer results show the presence of both metallic alpha-Fe(Co) fine particles and a very important fraction of iron oxide. An out-of-plane distribution of the Fe spins within a mean angle of around 26degrees has been evidenced by Mossbauer spectroscopy, in acceptable agreement with the magnetic data. The spin dispersion seems to be related especially to dynamical effects.
