Field-induced orbital order transition of Nd0.45Sr0.55MnO3 observed in high-field magnetization and resistivity

摘要
Magnetization and magnetoresistance of Nd0.45Sr0.55MnO3 have been measured in pulsed magnetic fields up to 45 T. Application of high magnetic field causes metamagnetic transitions below the Neel temperature T-N similar to 220 K. Temperature dependence of the resistivity under ferromagnetic state after the transition showed characteristics of a three-dimensional metal. The observed ferromagnetic transition and transport properties in the ferromagnetic state can be attributed to the collapse of planar orbital ordering by magnetic field.
