Flexible shape-stabilized phase change materials with passive radiative cooling capability for thermal management

摘要
Effective thermal management is of vital importance to resolve the overheating problem of electronic devices and to decrease energy consumption of buildings. In this work, flexible shape-stabilized phase change materials (PCMs) with excellent thermal management capability by integrating the energy storage and passive radiative cooling capability for the first time were fabricated by using novel cross-linked polymer swelling strategy. When used as thermal management materials for electronics and buildings, the large-scale produced PCMs exhibited outstanding temperature control ability owing to the function of phase change energy storage and passive radiative cooling. With the help of the composite PCMs film, the temperature of electronic device and buildings can be decreased by 5.5 degrees C and 9.3 degrees C, respectively, disclosing great potential in practical thermal management applications.
