摘要:
We have cloned the cDNA for Xenopus eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E), Here we show that translation of a luciferase mRNA that contains the 5' untranslated region derived from Xenopus erF4E is active in fertilized eggs, but is repressed in oocytes. The results suggest that the expression of Xenopus eIF4E is regulated at the translation level.
