摘要
Temperature, pH, BOD5, COD, DO, TSS, TDS, EC and heavy metals like As, Fe, Pb, Cd, Cu, Na, Ca, Mg were investigated. Temperature was found mostly higher than the drinking water quality standard and maximum samples showed the pH in alkali range. All samples showed the BOD5, COD and TSS concentrations more than the standard. Range of TDS in different area is high, DO showed lesser than the standard and the value of EC was near about the standard. Maximum concentration of As was found 0.750 mg/l. In case of Fe, Pb, Cd, Cu from the all samples showed the higher than the standard concentrations. In contrary, the value of Na, Ca, Mg concentrations showed less than the standard. Water Quality Index (WQI) from maximum spot was low, which represents the poor quality of water due to untreated discharge of wastewater.
