By high temperature calorimetry, enthalpies of formation of 4- and 5-component liquid alloys [Bi+Cd+Ga+Zn, Bi+Cd+Ga+In+Zn, Ga+In+Pb+Zn, Cd+Ga+In+Pb+Zn] have been measured. From the thermodynamic data of the limiting binary alloys and using the well-known relations of interpolation and the Hoch-Arpshofen model, the enthalpy of formation of these n-component alloys has been predicted. Comparing experimental and predicted data, a relation has been proposed to calculate the enthalpy of mixing of these systems on the entire molar fraction range.
