摘要
Polycrystalline samples of Ba4R2Ti4Nb6O30 (R = Y, Sm and Dy), a member of tungsten-bronze (TB) family, were prepared using a high-temperature solid-state reaction technique. A preliminary structural (XRD) analysis of these compounds shows the formation of a single-phase (orthorhombic) compound at room temperature. The scanning electron microscopic (SEM) study with different magnifications provides information on quality of the samples and the uniform grain distribution over the entire surface of the samples. Detailed dielectric studies of the compounds show the existence of ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition at 33, 48 and 41 degreesC for Y, Sm and Dy containing compounds, respectively.
