摘要：

Clay-supported tetrabutylammonium periodate is found to oxidise efficiently benzylic alcohols to the corresponding aldehydes without overoxidation to acids. It also oxidises aryl sulfides selectively to the corresponding sulfoxides. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
