摘要
The better performance of heat and mass transfer in the stripper can result in the lower energy penalty and smaller size, which is beneficial to the application of ammonia technology. Based on the representative elementary volume and the pseudo-single-liquid method, a rigorous computational model of the ammonia regeneration process in the packed column was established. The numerical data from this paper were compared with two runs results gained from the Aspen Plus, showing that this numerical model can describe the complex behaviors of heat and mass transfer accurately. The overall mass transfer coefficient of CO2 desorbing in the packed column was defined and the results showed that the mass transfer process in the stripper was mainly controlled by the liquid film. The desorbing efficiency increased almost 3 times as the inlet temperature of the rich solution rising 25 K under all the five working conditions. The heat transfer performance in the stripper was mainly influenced by the two phase inlet temperature and gas flow rate.
