Geometric Calibration of Cone-beam CT with a Flat-panel Detector

摘要
Here we proposed a method to calibrate several important geometric parameters for cone-beam CT (CBCT) systems. Only three point-like objects and their spatial distances are required for the calibration. Our method is based on the analysis of the ellipse trajectories of the points' projections. Our mathematical expressions are much simpler than similar methods and our method yields better stability. The calibration procedure has been tested on numerical simulations and an actual micro-CT system.
