Invasive species: Shoot to kill

The invasive species Phragmites australis can be found by the York River, in Virginia.This strain, thought by some to have been introduced from Europe a century or so ago, aggressively steals habitat from native species. A team of specialists are using a herbicide called Habitat to control this invasive species, along with other alien species, Ailanthus altissima, Elaeagnus umbellata, Ligustrum and Polygonum perfoliatum.
