摘要
Previous works on amplify-and-forward relaying assume either perfect signal-to-noise ratio or imperfect channel gain but perfect noise power. In this work, the effect of signal-to-noise ratio estimation error that assumes imperfect channel gain as well as imperfect noise power is investigated for Rayleigh fading channels. The maximum likelihood estimators are used to obtain the channel gain and noise power estimates. Both probability density function and cumulative distribution function of the end-to-end SNR with estimation errors are derived, based on which exact expression for the outage probability is obtained. Simulation results are provided to verify the analysis.
