摘要
A new projection approach for robust adaptive beamforming is proposed to achieve robustness against the steering vector error. In this paper, we utilize the knowledge of the signal angular sector to construct a criterion, which can be used to judge whether the eigenvectors of the sample covariance matrix belong to the signal subspace or not. It is unnecessary to estimate the number of signals for the proposed algorithm in advance. Moreover, compared with the traditional projection approach, the proposed algorithm has a better performance under the condition of low signal-to-noise ratio. Theoretical analysis and simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed algorithm.
